Cancel Society: liberals go crazy after Washington Post shows Trump ad.
The Washington Post was at the receiving end of vitriol when it decided to feature a Trump campaign ad on their website. The ad pretty much takes over once you logon to the Washington Post today. It actually is the first thing you see when you go to the site.
Leftist journalism professor was not having any of this, as he considers the Washington Post a ‘resistance’ paper, whose sole purpose is to promote liberal courses and should not allow room for the enemy, which is anyone with opposing view points.
No, @washingtonpost, no, no NO. How dare you? Were these pieces of silver worth the price of your soul? pic.twitter.com/tTCYYEj1Dl

I want to know how this ad buy was approved and whether the newsroom was shown it and signed off, @washingtonpost.

Other users seek to educate Jeff Jarvis as to how ad buys work, a system he and his cancel mind may not be able to change before the elections.
Mr. Jarvis, publications sections of their page to ad networks to sell that space, they don’t typically “approve” ads as the papers once did. However, they can blacklist advertisers from their accounts. Ads are targeted in real-time, space is bid on, and impressions sold.

In what world would it be a good thing for the @washingtonpost newsroom to be signing off on political ads?? https://t.co/XriQQdUCKl

Although they have the right to rant, it is pretty scary if you imagine how far and how bold people like Jeff Jarvis have gotten. Regardless of your political affiliation, this should not be allowed to become the norm in the USA. As a journalist, he should not consider himself the arm of a political party and still expect to be taken seriously.
